Meet Claudia Hougland, C-NP at Rapid City Interventional Pain Management Clinic in Rapid City, SD

She obtained her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of South Dakota. After gaining experience in the hospital setting, she then attended the University of North Dakota and received her master’s degree in nursing to become a certified nurse practitioner.

Claudia’s passions include creating meaningful relationships with her patients and working together with them on treatment plans to decrease their pain and improve their quality of life.

Claudia is originally from Rapid City and after spending several years in East River, working as a cardiology ICU nurse, she was excited to move back home to be reunited with her family and start her career at Rapid City Medical Center. During her time at Rapid City Medical Center Claudia worked as a registered nurse in both family practice and interventional pain. She completed her advanced practice training throughout the medical center’s many different specialties, though interventional pain is where she found her calling.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs hiking, camping, and exploring the Black Hills.
